Spring Overview
The second best season to visit Death Valley National Park is Spring. Spring brings cooler, more manageable temperatures to Death Valley, and even some clouds! March and April are great months to visit the park. By late Spring, however, expect consistent 100+ degree days. This makes Spring our second favorite season to visit Death Valley.
- March weather in Death Valley is great with warm (even hot by the end of the month) temperatures, lots of sun, and nights that still cool off into the 50s.
- April weather in Death Valley is hot with days growing longer which means more time for the sun to heat the valley. High temperatures in the 90s, lows in the 60s, and abundant sunshine.
- May weather in Death Valley is quite hot with highs consistently in the 100s and lows in the 70s. Depending on the year and your tolerance for heat May can still be a good time to visit but really marks the last month of tolerable temperatures.
- June weather in Death Valley is really hot with highs in the 110s and lows in the 80s. Visiting Death Valley during this time of year requires serious precautions against exposure and dehydration.
