We are visiting Capitol Reef for the first time in early May and have 2 whole days reserved. We are not hikers but so enjoy scenic drives. We’re looking at the Scenic Route 24 as well as the Hwy 12 Scenic Drive and we should be able to see many of the areas you describe! We are staying at the Capitol Reef Resort, which looks very nice.
