About Brandywine Falls – Cuyahoga Valley National Park
Brandywine Falls is a scenic 60 foot cascading waterfall that is the most popular point of interest in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The falls are easily accessed via a boardwalk adjacent to the parking lot. Brandywine Falls is a great spot for visitors of all ages and abilities to see the beauty of the Cuyahoga Valley.

During the spring the falls gush with excitement vivid greens. In the summer temperatures are mild and pleasant and the falls fan out in a bridal veil pattern. The fall brings a bounty of colorful foliage surrounding the falls which begin to slow. During winter the falls freeze and the interesting ice formations are a hit attraction.

Parking at Brandywine Falls
Parking at Brandywine Falls can be challenging to say the least. Due to the site’s popularity, the parking lot for Brandywine Falls is routinely full from 10am to 4pm every day. The National Park Service strongly recommends visiting the falls during non-peak season to avoid overcrowding.
There is no overflow parking or street parking available for Brandywine Falls, so if you’re unable to park and still want to visit the falls you’ll need to park at the Boston Mill Visitor Center and hike from there. The hike from the Boston Mill Visitor Center to Brandywine Falls is approximately 5 miles roundtrip.

Brandywine Gorge Loop
The Brandywine Gorge Loop is an easy-moderate 1.5 mile loop hike with a mild 160 foot elevation gain. The hike allows visitors to explore beyond Brandywine Falls into the gorge that feeds the waterfall. The gorge scenery is a terrific example of the wider Cuyahoga Valley topography and what makes the area so special.
While the Brandywine Gorge hike tends to be crowded in the summer, fall and winter offer less crowds and beautiful scenery. Autumn brings sensational fall color to Cuyahoga Valley and the gorge hike is an excellent place to view the foliage. Winter brings snow and colder temperatures, but for those willing to brave the elements they’ll experience few crowds and beautiful winter scenery.
